Our Vision
To provide every child in our care with high quality early education which will in turn provide them with the best start to their early year of learning and education that encompasses our core Move Values:
Our Philosophy
We believe in the importance of the early years of a child’s life to their future development and learning. At Move Early Learning we pride ourselves in providing learning environments that are safe, sustainable and nurturing to ensure children build a strong sense of belonging and wellbeing.
We recognise the pivotal role our educators play in educating and caring for children We pride ourselves on having capable, experience and aspiring educators. At Move Early Learning we value each educator’s experience and individual strengths and have a strong commitment to providing our educators with ongoing professional development and learning.
We respect, value and recognise the diverse cultures, traditions and beliefs children can come from and that families are the primary influence on a child’s life. Move Early Learning strongly believe in building strong, collaborative and two-way partnerships with our families as this will assist children in reaching their full potential.
We believe that children develop, grow and learn through play. Move Early Learning will provide a curriculum that is based on the fundamentals of the Early Years Learning Framework with experiences that are focused on children’s interests and inclusive of children’s voices.
We believe a positive start to school can help children become lifelong learners. This is why at Move Early Learning we strive to provide children with a variety of experiences and resources through our individualised Transition to School Program, that will assist in creating a positive and strong pathway to a successful transition to school.
Move Early Learning acknowledges and respects the Ngunnawal people as traditional custodians of the land and recognise any other people or families with connection to the lands of the ACT and region. We believe in embedding experiences and practices that reflect Indigenous perspectives into our curriculum to ensure children are being provided with opportunities to learn about these.
At Move Early Learning we recognise that physical activity is vital and plays a fundamental role for young children’s health and development, as well as enhances a child’s wellbeing. We also believe that move is more than just physical. It is about moving the mind, body and soul. We are committed to providing a wide range of experiences that is embedded into our curriculum and encompasses our “Move” values.
When children form relationships with their wider community, it helps them develop a sense of identity and belonging. Move Early Learning strives to build strong partnerships with organisations in our community, provide children with experiences that will allow them to be part of their community and make our community a part of our Move Family.
We embrace child-led outdoor play, where nature sparks movement, imagination, friendship, and the full sensory magic that only the natural world can offer.
At Move Early Learning we believe it is important to instil sustainable values in our service and everyday practices and provide children with opportunities to learn these values. By introducing sustainability concepts, we foster a sense of responsibility and empower children to become active global citizens, capable of making informed decisions that can positively impact the world.
Reconciliation Action Plan
At Move Early Learning, we are committed to learning, teaching, and growing alongside children in the spirit of Reconciliation. We believe in building understanding, respect, and meaningful connections with Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from an early age.
We proudly work alongside Narragunnawali to guide the development and implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), ensuring our service is working as one to embed reconciliation into our everyday practice, curriculum, and community partnerships.
Through this commitment, we support children to develop respect, empathy, and a strong sense of belonging now and into the future.
